Long Vue House and Gardens

During the onslaught of Hurricane Katrina, the Long Vue House and Gardens, like the rest of New Orleans, were not spared from taking a pummeling. Currently restoration work is under way. Projects include soil aeration and amendments and an aggressive tree conservation program, which is vitally important to protect the remaining trees. The plan is to restore the gardens, one at a time to the magnificent garden it once was of water features and alleys, wild, yellow, walled, and portico gardens, and a discovery garden for children.

Visit their website for information on Long Vue House and Gardens' progress.
