Munsinger Garden and Clemens Garden

These gardens are located on the banks of the Mississippi in St. Cloud and comprise a collection of six gardens characterized by a formal style situated on the sunny hill above Munsinger. The design is classical European but the use of plant material is decidedly American. The Gardens are open every day from Spring to Fall from 7:00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. Admission free, but donations always welcome.

Carlton College Cowling Arboretum

This large facility adjacent to the Northfield campus, serves education, conservation, and recreation purposes with its woodland and prairie habitats. Visit website for visiting hours and admission charges.

Marjorie McNeely Conservatory at Como Park

This conservatory part of the zoo at St. Paul, is the largest glass-domed garden in the region, and includes a Japanese garden, an enchanted garden and a frog pond.

It is open 365 days per year April - September 10 am - 6 pm October - March 10 am - 4 pm. Como Ordway Memorial Japanese Garden May 1 - Sept 30 Admission free but suggested donation of $2 is welcome.
