Garden on Appledore

The Garden on Appledore Island, is open for public tours during the summer Wednesdays. See their website for history, plant listing, and visitor information.

The Fells

Located in Newbury by Lake Sunapee, this former private summer retreat blends formal and naturalistic gardens, including a large rock garden The gardens and trails of The Fells are open daily, daylight hours, year round.

The Main House is open Memorial Day through Columbus Day. House tours run 10 am to 5 pm weekends and Monday holidays. From June 15 through August 31, Main House tours run Wednesday through Sunday 10 to 5. For weekday tours for groups, contact The Fells at (603) 763-4789 or [email protected].

Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site

This site is dedicated to preserving and protecting the home, gardens, and studios of American sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens in Cornish. The site’s exhibit buildings are closed during the winter and will reopen Saturday, May 27, 2006. The site will then be open daily through October 31, 2006, from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Admission is $5 per person for those age 16 and older.
