Fleet Street

The site of Fleet Street was the actual site of the Saxon City of London (the Saxons preferred to live beyond the walls). This view looks west. The clock and the spire are from St Dunstan's church (the spire was taken down in the late 1820s). Temple Bar is in the distance.
