The Proposed New Road from Paddington to Islington 1756 in London

as published in the London Magazine, 1756

Note that much of the land that this new road from Tottenham Court drove through belonged to the Dukes of Grafton, Bedford and Newcastle.
Also note the Foundling Hospital in Paddington, Sadler's Wells (also known as Islington Spa, or new Tunbridge Wells) and New River Head and Bedford House on Southampton Row.

You can also view general information pages on Paddington and Islington.
